I like this little bag. I don't know what people are complaining about with the waterproofing. I have no need for waterproofing, but this was one of the few bags I found that was small enough and would clip to my messenger bag.I have testing the closing on it and it does keep things dry, as long as you carefully follow the instructions. Basically, you have to fold the top down at least 3 or 4 times to seal it. Then you have to secure that by connecting the 2 ends of the strap to something. If you overfill the bag or you don't strap it closed, the seal won't work. It's fine for what it is, but it doesn't meet all my needs. It's all about the clipping.I carry a messenger bag every day and was looking for a small clothing bag that I could clip to my messenger bag when I go to the gym. It's a great size for that, but attaching it to my messenger bag is a little awkward. As stated above, to close the bag you have to fold the top over a couple of times and then clip the 2 ends of the strap together.I clip the strap around the shoulder strap of my messenger bag. Trouble is, if I stop there, it slides around a lot when I'm on the train, so I also have to secure it a second time using the caribiner clip that came with the bag. So basically 2 attachments.I would prefer a bag that closes with a zipper and then clips to my messenger bag with the caribiner. So I'm still looking.Handy shoulder strap makes portage to and from my yak easy. Flat pack design means I can place flat on my yak on top of rolled dry bags and easily open to get frequently used items without digging to the bottom. Nylon appears durable, not sure how long water proofing liner will last...but for $10...it is long enough to make this worth the try. OVERBOARD makes some other interesting items I will be checking out soon.I like this product very much. It is just the right size I wanted and it closes and carries easily. However it's like putting items into a black hole because the liner is black. It is very hard to see inside the bag. I often have to dump everything out to find what I am looking for. I recommend that a white or light covered liner be used on the interior of all these bags. An interior pocket and some padding would be nice too. This is a great buy even though it was a mistake! I meant to buy a smaller one for my son to put his phone in while at soccer camp... he took this one instead and it rained all day... this bag kept all of his clothes dry so he had something to change into when they went inside to the air conditioning after being wet. Several people have asked where I got this from! Great accidental purchase!I went on a trip to the Galapagos Islands and did a lot of wet landings. We were in zodiacs for 7 days and I always carried my 35mm camera and telephoto lens in this bag. I like that it has a handle which worked as a shoulder bag. Bright yellow color was nice, too (in case I set it down, or in the event it would fall overboard)! Glad I didn't really need to test it.Perfect size for a day in wet location. I bought it for a day of snorkeling ...trekking through caves in and out of water. Also serves to hold my son's change of clothes, towel etc. when playing and practicing in inclement weather. I don't know if it would take total immersion...but it is perfect for how we use it.I thought these would make nice carrying bags for small items when we’re out kayaking or anywhere near water. They worked well for about a couple of months of occasional use but the waterproofing started to separate in both bags. They seem to still hold up but we got to make sure that they don’t get completely submerged; but then what’s the point of having waterproof bags.As expectedwasn't expecting too much but these absolutely did the trick on our family holiday to spain. I bought some cheap waterproof phone bags and put all our phones, money and car keys in the waterproof bags, before putting them in this bag (just in case!) On one occasion i don't think I rolled the top down enough so the inside was a little wet around the top, but not down the bottom of the bag on the inside. Anyway, didn't have to leave any valuables on the beach while we were frollicking in the water so all good. Try and make sure you squeeze all the air out before you roll the top and clip it, otherwise while you're bobbing under the waves, the bag is floating on the top and trying to strangle you!Fantastic little bag. I bought the black 5litre. Nice light material simple to use and definitely waterproof if you’ve ensured that you’ve closed it properly. I row a Cornish gig and use it every time to carry my phone, keys, hats, gloves etc. I have accidentally dropped it in the harbour and it floated until I was able to retrieve it. I only wish the same bag were available in a larger size. If you buy a bigger dry bag they always seem to be made of heavy duty pvc which has no give in it and they are just too awkward to use easily. This bag is amazing, I bought it on a whim to take in my jeep safaris and boat trips whilst traveling abroad... I was sceptical that It would work so I tested in the bath at home first.. And I'm happy to say it works perfect, keeps items on the inside bone dry and without moisture getting to them too. I was asked by loads of people I got it from and highly recommended it... It's also very deceiving as it looks relatively small but I managed to fit quite a lot in compared to what I was expecting.I bought this with the idea that I could store my 15 inch laptop in it when I do ship to ship transfers at sea. The material is very thick and reminds me of the material used on an MOD life jacket when fully inflated. I have every confidence that it won't rip or leak water and for that reason I gave it five stars. My idea of using it for the laptop is flawed because it has a slightly narrower opening by a centimetre or so each side than the width and I can't just slide the laptop in there. Not a major issue, I just get a bigger bag for the laptop and carry on using this for keeping something else dry and safe. I'm thinking of using it as a pillow as a last resort, I like it that much.Havent used yet but for £3.95 it seems like great quality. The material is thick and strong, doesn't look like it will tear very easily. The yellow version was more than half the price of the black when I purchased - not sure why this is the case. Will be using to store passport, phone, wallet etc while on beach holidays and I think this will be ideal for that purpose, protecting them from sea water splashing over the top of boats/canoes.
