This is a great waterproof bag that you can wear it sideway, and if you have two straps (take it from other bags), you can wear it like a backpack. I like the color because I can spot it from afar. It uses a thick rubber material that smells "rubbery", but it is a very sturdy waterproof bag. I take it to a few kayak and canoe trips, and I also take it with me to I travel just in case I need a day bag and not sure about the weather condition. A few time I did carry some "heavy" items like a couple of water bottles with backup batterie with a mirrorless camera along with a windbreaker and other items and it works fine. The transparent window is useful so you can see what you are searching. The only thing that seems to be a bit annoy is the strap. It is sturdy but prolong wear can be uncomfortable especially the area where the buckle is but can be easily solved by wrapping some soft material around it. Overall, I like this bag and I would recommend to my friends.Pictures are deceiving, but then again, the description included product dimensions. This is a great waterproof bag and if you pack it right, with the right amount of air inside, it will float too! I've taken this kayaking and paddle boarding, with no leakage or issues.I ordered this to use on our cruise excurtions. It worked perfectly and this size fit two cameras two kindle readers and my husbands wallet, perfectly. It kept everything dry as a bone and floats. We even took it up the falls in Jamaca and everything stayed dry. Very easy to carry too! I'm ordering another for next years trip so we have two.Works great! Had a couple of bottles of sunscreen, two drinks, phones, keys, a shirt, and shorts all in this little bag. Tested its "floatability" and it did wonderfully! Super easy to make it buoyant. Bright yellow makes it easy to see in case it gets away from me. :) Great size and price. This thing was pretty awesome. I took it to Mexico and a few other beaches and it was an electronics saver. Perfect size with a perfect strap; this thing was perfect. I keep my gopro and all of the accessories for it along with my phone in here. I never had to worry about it at all. I didn't try and submerge it though. I just was that brave.Overall I am very pleased with this bag - exactly what I needed. I cannot give five stars though because I had to wait a month in order to get it (backordered).Otherwise good product - recommend it!It is a practical bag to take to the beach when you are practicing any water sport or just enjoying. And keep your belongings dry, such as your wallet and car keys. One of my favorite dry bags!! I use it on multi-day kayaking tripsI have owned larger, 40 litre similarly fastened (PVC) bags, for sailing kit. But my requirement for this Overboard 5 ltr bag was very different. The bag arrives in a hermetically sealed bag, and so requires a while to take up its correct shape. It has - inside - a silver coloured/lined base for added protection. Once I'd figured out how exactly to position the top fastening, four(4) rolls of the sealing top became a cinch and easy to achieve. The bag's snap clips (which make its handle when fastened) are substantial and look to last for ages.Don't expect this bag to be HUGE 'cos it aint! ... My reason for ordering it.Nevertheless, once this bags' material warmed up I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only would it carry my personal 'meds' but there was also room for a tightly rolled pair of Henri Lloyd TP2 waterproof waist trousers, along with a pouched multitool knife, my camera, a pair of [small] binoculars, a 'phone and sunglasses ... with a bit of room to spare. The wide black, (stout tape), adjustable carrying handle, which has plastic/stainless steel snap hook at each of its ends, clips nicely, neatly into a 'D' ring in the sealed, rolled, top end, and to a similar 'D' ring attached to the bag's base (sealed with the same, silver material as described above). The bag , when slung across one's shoulders, does have a tendency to 'roll around' from back to front ... which can be disconcerting when riding a bike! But this 'rolling' can be alleviated by using the very cool looking, stong, neat purple anodised carbine hook (supplied with each Overboard product), as a clip to the waist. On first use, out on the water, a wet rainy day in a fast RIB, the bag was accidentally dropped in the drink!I'm pleased to report that the bag floated on the surface and all its contents remained bone dry ...I recommend this product, and can only say to other reviewers, and potential purchasers that it takes a bit of practice to get the top sealing strip tight ... like most waterproofing, it's an easily acquired knack!Tip: Leave sufficient air space for buoyancy! This is a great little bag. I use it for when kayaking and although have never submerged the bag (not having capsized), I can say that after four hours paddling on the water, my wallet, keys, camera and id are bone dry after wearing the bag on my back and was in the line of fire from water from my paddles for the duration.Just one point to remember regarding the bags capacity - if you intend to use it to the 'full' then bear in mind that the mechanism for making it water tight i.e. folding the top lip over four times, as effective as it is, does reduce the space available so whether the 5 Liters quoted is the space when this procedure has been carried out or not I'm not sure.Never the less, this bag is ideal for what it is intended for and I would recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in circumstances that could render perishable small items subject to getting wet. Thanks for reading.I got feed-up with using tesco bags to try and keep my mobile phone & other electronics dry on my daily commute to work (bicycle), so decided to purchase one of these. I've been using it for over a year and its still going strong. Despite some of the wettest winters on record, nothing inside it has ever got wet. Its fairly rigid so can take up a bit of room in my backpack , but it depends how much stuff you have in it. The 5 Litre isn't big enough to fit my clothes in, but is fine for your electronics (ie camera, phone, organiser. You may struggle to fit an ipad in it though as it wouldn't leave you much room to roll up the top). All in all a good purchase, once this one wears out (no sign of it yet) I'll buy another one. This summer I went to my first summer festival. Given my experience of British summer weather, I realised that there was every chance that I was going to be soaked whilst I was away. Now this wouldn't bother me, only since I was flying into the British mainland to get to the festival, I would be carrying a number of documents that I just couldn't afford to water damaged. I started thinking how I could manage to keep any travel documents dry in the event of a downpour. I did some research and eventually came across this product and it was a life saver. At 5 litres it was just the right size for my passport/train tickets/travel documents as well as my phone/MP3 player/camera and a couple of books. It was kind of like the tardis, it holds more than you think it will! The attachable strap that it comes with is great and you can throw it on and get going without feeling weighed down. A few days in, lo and behold, there was a downpour of incredible proportions. I was soaked through in no time. When things were drying off, I took the opportunity to see whether the bag had lived up to its name and kept things dry. Everything was bone dry and in perfect condition.I would happily recommend this to anyone who is going out and about in the great outdoors and needs to keep things dry. I will be taking this to the beach, any future festivals or any treks that I'll be taking in future. Such a worthwhile buy, love it!I recently bought this item so I could take it on holiday. I knew that there would be a few occasions where we'd be in the ocean, and I was going to want to take my camera. I must say this bag was absolutely perfect for it's purpose. I trusted it with my very expensive digital SLR camera/lens whilst swimming out to an island, and it was dry as a bone inside. The 5L bag fit my camera with 15-85mm lens attachment perfectly. You wouldn't want to go any smaller than this I would think, unless you just wanted to put phone/key/wallet inside.I think 5L is a good size, cause I actually used it to carry around my DSLR for the whole holiday, A) because I didn't want to look too much like a camera-toting tourist, and B) so you aren't a target for bag snatchers carrying around Canon branded DSLR carry-case (hmmm I wonder what's in there?)My girlfriend got sick of hearing how much I loved this bag by the end of the trip. I would like to have bought it in black, but I don't think that was a colour option.
