The 2 different vets Mugg has been to see, seem happy with my choice for this big growing boy. Mugg enjoys the different flavors dry but I only use dry for a snack after he has eaten a bowl of the dry kibble and wet mixture. I will continue to feed him this in the adult version too.The golden retriever breeder we got our pup from was the first we've seen that used Diamond Naturals. The one prior to that used Purina Pro Plan. We've used Purina Pro Plan Large Breed for years. So to save money we were willing to try the breeder's choice. We just weren't happy with it, and after discussing with the vet, he recommended we switch him to Purina Pro Plan large breed puppy food. As a long time customer of that brand, we didn't even question it, just bought it. Very disappointed that the cost has gone up astronomically! It really makes feeding two dogs, two different foods, very unaffordable. But our dogs are like our kids. We got braces on their teeth when they needed them, and that was something they could have done without. Our dogs are the same way. We want quality so that they're health is the best it can be.I get this about once a month for my Great Pyrenees puppy. My Vet recommends this. He's put on 10-20 lbs a month using this (GPs grow very large, very fast) and he's very healthy, with a shiny coat. Very pleased and continue to purchase.We have a large breed puppy, so I wanted to get him a puppy food that he could eat for a couple years. It is important for the large breed dogs to eat a high protein dog food for the first 2 years. Our dogs name is Luke and he is 50% golden retriever and 50% Samoyed. I read that this breed is called a Goldensammy . We had his DNA tested after we got him at 9 months old.I did a lot of research on puppy food for my large pup. I have a cane corso standard poodle. NY times and other sources recommend this as the best for pups. She likes the flavor but I wish they had other options.Our boxer puppy had a a sensitive stomach so our 2 vets recommend this over our normal dog food of Diamond. I will use either for them.We started our puppy on this day one! He is a mastiff and he gets all the ingredients he needs and it keeps him healthy without him growing too fast.Our great Dane puppy loves it it's great for his health . He eats all of it he loves the flavor.I have a 6 month old XL American Bulldog he has been on this food since he was 3 months old. We normally order from Petsmart however they were out of stock so I came to Amazon. Since he has started on this new bag he has been puking, liquid diarrhea, itchy, bumps, loss of energy and he has a bark like cough after being sick. We have 1/2 - 3/4 left over that's completely unusable as I've obviously had to stop feeding him from this bag. I'm upset and disappointed! I really liked this food and it actually was recommended from my vet.If you're sold on the brand it's a great deal and comes to the door ..I love that ..but be aware that there are many ingredients that are not recommended for high quality goods ...the breeder had my pup on this but he will be switched over gradually to a food with less unhealthy ingredients.Top quality dog food. Doberman puppy has been on this since we got her. She is now 11 months and thriving. Recommended by many breeders. Started with Blue Buffalo which caused gastro troubles and this resolved all those issues.My Great Dane developed and allergy to this food. I mixed the previous food 60/40, then went 50/50 then 30/70 every week and now we are at 100% now my dog doesn't like it as is upsatting her stomach. I saw at the beginning when we changed the food brand that she got some red spots on her belly and thought that will go away, but now her belly is covered with rush. Amazon policy has not returned allow for pet food. I did the monthly subscription for this brand, DISAPPOINTED WITH AMAZON THAT DOESN'T ACCEPT RETURNS on pet food. I have a full unopened box received 3 days ago, and can't return it. What a waste of money. From now on I will get the dog food from my local pet store as they accept returns if the food affect my dog. That is what should be have on their policy. Not happy with amazon. Hopefully they make it right. Now cancelling my pet food subscription.I have been ordering this product and my puppy couldnt get enough. he loved it. Just got new bag and he was so hungry and he refused. that is not normal. he will eat anything all the time. This one bag I just gotthere is somethan not right. i picked up a cheap bag at food store to get him fed.lots of money. not sure whar happened to this bag or where it was stored before I received it
