It is fine to protect electronics in the rain if placed inside a backpack or something actually waterproof. Other than that, I tried this out and decided to buy something else next time.Description says "made of PVC-free materials" but technical details say it's made of "‎Polyvinyl Chloride" which is PVC, of course. For the price, I really expected something with a better seal. Like any cheap PVC dry bag, this is splash proof and not waterproof. It's tougher than a freezer bag but less waterproof.This is a really nice bag. Made of heavy vinyl it should last for years. Easy to roll and seal for a waterproof seal. I also like the plaid print. It’s different. Not the same old blue or yellow.Great dry bag, perfect size for food when camping from a boat. It also fits neatly inside a Ursack Major bear-proof bag.Ordered 2 of these because I wanted an oval shape. But so far had to return twice because of holes in the bag when I opened the package. Terrible. Also the bottom seal of the bag has a rough edge. So much for Made in the USA. Will buy a cheap PVC one made in China for $11 next time.Poor qualityThis is a nice thick dry-sack that will not get punctured from the items that you put in it. I've owned some of the lightweight ones in the past and this one is far better.Great item to keep sensitive items clean and dry when either when on the beach or floating on a lake. The pouch is firm at the beginning but becomes more supple with use. I have also used it for shampoo etc in my checked luggage to guard against unwanted leaking :-)Unfortunately it arrived with a hole.
