Keep my gear completely dry every-time. Made of heavy material and size is perfect for fitness paddling. The bag material is pretty high quality and will keep water out! It's not the material,it's the design that may stop it from being a full on "dry bag" the rolly thingy, you have to do to shut the bag, is not a water tight solution. That being said this bag will definitely work for what I'm doing. I'm stuffing a Coleman Highline 4 person tent in it. seems to fit. The bag has no give though! It's a really thick rubber type coated canvas of some sort. The act actual XL length is about 36 inches without the top rolled.Great dry bag for the price. I used it for a week of rafting and fishing to keep my camera bag dry (take out camera insert from backpack and fit into dry bag place dry bag in backpack). It's easy to use, fairly well made, and is a very basic dry bag. We had some very heavy rain, and for the most part it kept everything dry. I wouldn't trust it to float in the water for long, but for splashes and rain it worked well. It's definitely not a Watershed, but you can buy 7 H2Zero bags to one watershed. all in all its good wet weather protection but I question its bail out protection.I had purchased the XL Bag.It's kept my camping kit dry on multiple kayaking excursions. It's starting to show signs of wear after six trips or so (I'm rough with my kit). No holes, but rather spots where I can see the plastic wearing a bit. Bear in mind this could have been the result of me over-stuffing the bag.I've never completely submerged the bag (I try to avoid it actually), but it has been in the water and the contents stayed dry. Splash protection is 100%.This is a really strong, tough bag, and at a great price. Just keep in mind though, that it has some usability issues. It is quite heavy and the inside material is tacky, which makes it very difficult to pack things into it tightly. If you're going by machine power, it would work fine; for human powered activities, I ended up being much happier spending more on a light weight, treated synthetic fabric bag, rather than this what seems to be rubber treated bag. Primarily because of ease of packing and light weight since I needed them for human powered activities, i.e. backpacking/cycle trekking/etc.I took it to the Bahamas for a week as my snorkel bag. It did a great job keeping everything dry and locking in the air if I didn't squish it out. It's great. I'm just a little concerned that some of the seams appear a little frayed. It's probably just because of rubbing in the boats, but I didn't expect to see that. Can't beat this dry sack for the money. I used it on a recent ocean kayaking trip and it kept everything as dry as can be. You can spend more money and find a stuff sack with better material, but I'm not sure it would do any better of a job! We will probably just order another and then be able to keep all our canoe camping supplies dry during overnight trips.Seemed durable, but after sharing a pack with a small hard case it has a hole worn in it from the friction. Partly my fault but I wish it was more durable. the 20L is BIG too.
